Introduction to Sexual and Reproductive Health Workshop

This is a 1-day interactive workshop for doctors early in their career looking for an introduction to sexual and reproductive health. It is aimed at GP registrars based in hospital or in their first year of general practice placement. It may also be suitable for doctors new to general practice in Australia. There is a strong focus on clinical skills including simulated practical training.

Course Outline

This workshop provides increased knowledge and confidence in sexual health including contraceptive pill prescriptions, cervical screening and sexual history taking.

Learning outcomes include being able to provide contraceptive advice based on stage of reproductive life, understanding the cervical screening process and procedures, and being able to take a sexual history and provide screening for sexually transmitted infections.

40 RACGP QI & CPD points (Category 1) are applicable to this course.
