Board of SHINE SA – Call for Applications
Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced people for appointment as members on the Board of Directors of SHINE SA an organisation registered under the South Australian Associations Incorporation Act 1985. SHINE SA provides clinical, education, counselling and preventative health care including health promotion services to disadvantaged groups, young people and the wider community with the aim to improve sexual and reproductive health, physical, mental and social well-being.
SHINE SA is now recruiting for 2 new Directors. People preferably with Board experience and expertise in Public and or Primary Health or Governance and Information Systems including an understanding of information technology are invited to apply.
Applicants interested in appointment to the Board must have a commitment to excellence in not for profit health care and the skills and expertise to make a significant contribution to the governance of a complex state wide organisation, which manages multiple public and private programs each with specific policy directions and budget reporting requirements.
Short listed applicants will be required to undergo formal probity checks including a National Police criminal records check, an Australian Securities and Investments Commission disqualification register check, and a National Personal Insolvency Index check.
Appointment may be for up to three years depending on position allocated. Existing members are eligible for reappointment for subsequent terms of office and will be required to participate in sub-committees of the governing body as appropriate. This is not a paid position but reasonable expenses will be covered. Qualifications with a recognised association such as AICD would be highly regarded.
