The 2-day interactive course is designed to increase the confidence and capacity of educators who work with Aboriginal young people to educate and inform their young people about relationships and sexual health. All topics include demonstrations of activities and resources that can be used with Aboriginal young people.
The course covers communication and feelings, healthy relationships, power and bullying, the body, puberty and reproduction, safer sex, media and technology, diversity and more. All topics include demonstrations of activities and resources that can be used with young people.
Additional Aboriginal-specific resources will be available to purchase at the course.
Please note: Teachers who are looking to run sequential Relationships and Sexual Health lessons in the classroom may find a Primary or Secondary course more suitable, followed by the Resource Update which focuses on Aboriginal-specific activities and perspectives.
