This 2-day workshop explores the information, skills and strategies staff need to deliver a comprehensive relationships and sexual health program to students with a disability.

Course Outline

This 2-day workshop explores modified programs and resources to individualise content and make relationships and sexual health education accessible to children and young people living with a disability.

The workshop will focus on:

  • topics and issues to cover in a comprehensive R&SH program
  • teaching and learning methodologies to meet individual needs
  • resources and resource development
  • protective strategies and sexual safety
  • support networks available to staff, parents and young people
  • responding to sexualised behaviours

All SHINE SA curriculum materials provided are mapped to the Australian Curriculum and Department for Education’s Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum.
