Non-judgmental, sensitive and inclusive care is modelled while developing competence in clinical procedures. Graduates also develop skills in individual client education and will have access to comprehensive information and resources.
The 54 hours clinical placement over a 2-3 week period will be negotiated on an individual basis for successful applicants. Leave from the applicant’s workplace may need to be arranged to enable this placement.
Experienced sexual health RN/Ms provide mentorship throughout the placement, which uses the ASHNNA competencies for assessment.
Acceptance into the clinical component is via individual application and cannot be guaranteed.
