The Current Awareness Service (CAS) provides up-to-date lists of new articles, books and resources available from the SHine SA Library.

New articles

This section contains a range of articles from journals available from the library relating to sexuality and relationships. Articles are listed in subject order.

To obtain photocopies of articles the Journal article request form located at the end of the CAS must be completed and either faxed or emailed to the Library. Only members of the SHine SA Library and Resource Centre may request articles.

Under the Copyright Act only one article from any journal can be photocopied unless the articles refer to the same subject matter.

 

New books

The new books list contains recently catalogued items from SHine SA's three libraries.

  • Main library is located at 64c Woodville Rd, Woodville
  • Southern library is located at 19-23 Beach Rd, Chrisites Beach 
  • Northern library is located at 43 Peachey Rd, Davoren Park

To distinguish the books from each library the call numbers have on the end of them either :

  • /S for books from the southern library ie. 3.13 DIS 12224/S
  • /N for books from the northern library ie. 3.13 DIS 12224/N
  • books from the Woodville (main) library simply have a call number ie. 3.13 DIS 12224

Books may be borrowed directly from any of the library locations for a period of 2 weeks. To borrow books you must be a library member and a resident of South Australia. The libraries are open Monday-Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.

People from rural areas of South Australia may contact the library by phone on 1800 188 171 (toll free) or email to become a library member. Books will be sent to their local public library or directly to their home address. They will be responsible for returning the books by post.

 

New resources

New resources may be borrowed on the Resource booking form at the end of the CAS. Only organisations who have a current paid subscription to the Resource Centre may borrow.
