Cost & Payment Method: $75 per hour - invoiced after training is delivered.

Rules about sex: getting them right

A 3.5 hour training module familiarising workers and other support people in the use of a CD-based resource relating to touch, privacy and sexual behaviours under the law in South Australia.

The CD-based resource can be used to build the capacity of people with a disability to minimise the risk of sexual victimisation or getting in trouble with the law unnecessarily. It also aims to maximise their ability to get help, self-advocate about sexual matters and negotiate healthier sexual relationships.

The CD contains a series of fact sheets with discussion points as well as images which can be creatively combined to create workbooks, and teaching, counselling and evaluation tools. People completing the training module will receive a copy of the CD.

To discuss training contact the Coordinator of Disability Worker Education on (08) 8300 5318 or via email at ralph.brew@health.sa.gov.au. Training can be negotiated in a range of metropolitan and rural areas.

Cost: $50 per person. See Rules About Sex training flyer for scheduled training details.

To register complete the Rules About Sex registration form.
