Clinics

The clinical teams at SHine SA include both doctors and registered nurses/midwives who work collaboratively to provide high quality services to their community, including:


  • contraception services (including Emergency Contraception)
  • pregnancy testing, counselling and referral
  • information on safer sex and sexuality issues
  • STI testing, management and referral
  • women's and men's sexual health issues

 

Drop-in services

If you are under the age of 35 years, or if you are 35 years or over and in one of SHine SA's communities of interest, you can come to a drop-in clinic to see a SHine SA Registered Nurse/Midwife for free (see SHine SA Fees for more information).

Pregnancy testing, STI screening and Emergency Contraception are provided at SHine SA clinics during the times listed below. No appointment needed to see a nurse/midwife.

IUD assessments require an appointment.

Services and fees

SHine SA’s sexual health services are provided mainly for women and men under the age of 35. Also, SHine SA’s clinic and counselling services are mainly intended for:

  • Young women and men
  • Aboriginal and Torres Trait Islander people
  • Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender people
  • Humanitarian entrants
  • People with disabilities

Our Receptionist will answer your questions and help you access the sexual health care you need.

 

Interpreters

Free interpreting can be arranged with a male or female interpreter. Please let us know what you require when booking your appointment.
